How to choose a peptide tracker
Seven questions worth asking before you commit to one, and an honest account of how Peplo answers each — including the one where the answer is “not yet”.
Does it tell you what a dose actually costs?
Peplo does, and as far as we can tell nothing else in this category does. Enter what you paid for a vial and it carries cost per dose through every screen that mentions that vial — so the number is there when you are deciding whether to reorder, not buried in a spreadsheet you stopped updating. A reminder app will not have it, and a spreadsheet has it only while you keep feeding it.
Does it do the reconstitution maths, or just remind you?
Reminders are the easy half. The part that goes wrong at the kitchen counter is working out how much bacteriostatic water to add and how many units that makes on the syringe you are actually holding. Peplo does that, free and without an account, and shows the draw on a syringe diagram rather than leaving you to convert it.
Where does its information come from?
Ask what a claim is based on. Peplo's compound information is drawn from published research with the sources attached, and it is written to describe what has been studied rather than to promise what will happen to you. It is not medical advice and does not replace a clinician — if an app's information reads like marketing copy, that is worth noticing.
Does it work when you have no signal?
Peplo is offline-first: logging a dose, running the calculator and reading your own history all work with no connection, and sync catches up later. This matters more than it sounds — the moment you need the numbers is the moment you are standing over a vial, which is not reliably a moment with good reception.
Can it see across your doses and how you felt?
Peplo records doses and optional daily check-ins, then reports what it can see — trends, and timing patterns across the days after a dose. It reports observations, not conclusions, and it says when it does not have enough data yet. An app that produces a confident insight from four data points is telling you something about its marketing, not about you.
Is there a community you can compare notes with?
Not yet, and anyone claiming a meaningful one at this stage is counting something other than people. Aggregated, consented dosing patterns are on the roadmap and will ship when there are enough users for the numbers to mean anything. Until then this is a tool, not a forum.
What does it cost, and what do you get for nothing?
The reconstitution calculator and the cost calculator are free with no account. Pro covers the tracker, the analytics and cloud sync. Check whether the thing you actually came for is behind the paywall before you judge any price in this category — including this one.
